The project Decarbonization Alleviates Energy Poverty - DECLEAR (original title: "Decarbonisierung lindert Energiearmut") focuses on the decarbonization of existing residential buildings, specifically within energy-poor households. Its goal is to provide tailored guidance and support for households transitioning to sustainable heating solutions, while advancing broader measures for long-term impact. Based on the consultation and assistance of 20 households in Vienna and Lower Austria, the project identified 14 key areas addressing energy poverty and developed concrete recommendations for action. DECLEAR contributes to a socially just, climate-friendly energy transition in the housing sector.
